1.Metformin Induced AMPK Activation, G0/G1 Phase Cell Cycle Arrest and the Inhibition of Growth of Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinomas In Vitro and In Vivo.

2.Metformin suppresses hepatocellular carcinoma cell growth through induction of cell cycle G1/G0 phase arrest and p21CIP and p27KIP expression and downregulation of cyclin D1 in vitro and in vivo.

3.Suppressing cyclooxygenase-2 prevents nonalcoholic and inhibits apoptosis of hepatocytes that are involved in the Akt/p53 signal pathway.
