Dr. Chin Man Pan (Bruce) began his academic career at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), graduating with a Bachelor of Science ( Hons) in Optometry in 2011. He subsequently pursued postgraduate research in the ERG laboratory, completing his PhD in Vision Science in 2017.

⦿ He i s now a Visiting Clinical Associate and Instructor at PolyU, supervising student optometrists in clinical placements and teaching optometry-related subjects. He also holds a position as a Visiting Associate Professor at Shantou University Medical College, where he teaches at The Joint S hantou International Eye Center (JSIEC).

⦿ Committed to advancing optometry in Hong Kong, Dr. Bruce Chin serves as President of the Hong Kong Society of Professional Optometrists (HKSPO). In recognition of his community service, he was awarded the 2024 Outstanding Youth Alumni award by the PolyU Faculty of Health and Social Sciences.
