Professor Chu-Pak Lau is Honorary Clinical Professor, Department of Medicine, Queen Mary Hospital, The University of Hong Kong. He graduated in The University of Hong Kong and received cardiology training in St. George's Hospital Medical School, Department of Cardiological Sciences, London, U.K. He has over 20 years of practice in cardiology, and has research interests in cardiac rehabilitation and prevention, cardiac arrhythmias and implantable device therapy. He has published over 500 international papers, edited several textbooks including the ‘Clinical Cardiac Pacing, Defibrillation and Resynchronization Therapy’ in collaboration with Kenneth A. Ellenbogen, Bruce L. Wilkoff, G. Neal Kay and Angelo Auricchio. He has contributed to international guidelines and consensus documents on device therapy and for arrhythmias. Professor Lau is Past Presidents of Hong Kong College of Cardiology, World Society of Arrhythmia, and Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society
