Professor, Department of Surgery, Gyeongsang National University, School of medicine, and Chief of Surgery department of  Gyeongsang National University Changwon Hospital, Changwon, Republic of Korea. 

He is an expert gastric cancer surgeon and a scientist conducting gastric cancer biomarker studies. He actively participates in academic conferences and currently holds the position of President of the Korea Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgery Study Group (KGESS), a research group under The Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Surgery. 

Furthermore, he is deeply interested in improving the quality of life for gastric cancer patients and conducts extensive research in this area. He is also the President of the Korean Quality of Life in Stomach Cancer Patient Study Group (KOQUSS), a research group under the Korean Gastric Cancer Association.
