
Guangjin Pan, GIBH Deputy Director-General, is a full professor of stem cell biology in South China Institute of Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine. Selected by the “Hundred talents program” researcher of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; the Guangdong special support program "scientific and technological innovation leading talent", and the chief scientist of the National Key Research and Development Program of China; Published over 40 peer-reviewed papers as first or corresponding author in high profile journals such as Nature Methods, as corresponding or co-corresponding author; Won the awards and honors as: six patent licenses and one of them is authorized by the Patent Cooperation Treaty; the second class of “National Natural Awards”; the first class of “Guangdong science and Technology Award”; 2017 Outstanding Science and Technology Achievement Prize of the CAS (as Outstanding contributors); The research in Pan’s laboratory focus on analyzing the human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs) fate decision mechanisms and generating functional cells with potential application value.
