
Jose Clemente
Jose C. Clemente is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences and the Immunology Institute at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He specializes in genetics, genomics, and immunology at the Institute for Genomics and Multiscale Biology. His research focuses on microbiome-related studies, particularly the changes in bacterial communities associated with diseases. He utilizes computational and experimental methods to understand the relationship between microbiota and immune and metabolic disorders. Jose is recognized as a highly cited researcher by Clarivate and has been named a Frontiers Scholar by the National Academy of Sciences in the US. His research findings have been published in prestigious journals such as Cell, BMJ, Nature Medicine, Cell Host Microbe, Science Advance, and Allergy.
